Following his father, Mr. Santiago Martin’s footsteps, Mr. Charles oversees the lottery industry in Maharashtra and Goa, as a part of the group's ‘Dear Government Lottery’ brand. One of his proudest accomplishments includes being the first private sector service provider ‘South Star Rail’ for the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, under the ‘Bharat Gaurav’ scheme. This ambitious initiative aims to tap into the vast tourist potential of India by leveraging the core strengths of professionals in the tourism sector. As part of the Union Government’s "Dekho Apna Desh" campaign promoting Domestic Tourism, South Star Rail goes above and beyond to ensure a seamless travel experience for its passengers.

In 2023, one of Mr. Charles's most recent initiatives included successfully overseeing ‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission - 2023’, along with the invaluable collaboration between APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation and Space Zone India. This event showcased India’s first hybrid-sounding rocket, comprising an array of 150 PICO satellite research experiment cubes made by 5,000 students, across India. This scientific ingenuity was shouldered by the success of its predecessor ‘Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Space Research Payload Cubes Challenge 2021’. From every corner of India, many aspiring students eagerly engaged in a series of online lectures and immersive hands-on experience sessions to design and launch an astounding 100 Femto satellites, using a single high-altitude scientific balloon. The magnitude of this accomplishment was reflected in the congratulatory message sent by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, commending both the students and organisers, for setting an awe-inspiring world record.
